Being a black woman is almost equivalent to being magical! We endeavor so much! Its so amazing! From our many different shades of melanin, to our unique shapes and even our different textures of hair. We are simply amazing. I find it hard to believe that so many black woman battle with self-confidence or low self-esteem. I’ve never understood why some black woman may walk with their heads facing the ground or may be timid towards certain situations. I’ve never understood why some black woman practice bleaching their skin or try to imitate the “European-look” to the exact format. Sometimes I wish that I could befriend woman with the lack of self-love. Doing this I would be able to tell them that they are beautiful and doing manipulations to their body is unnecessary.
Some woman wear weave and makeup and so do I. However, it is different when you do if for fun and when you are doing it to satisfy society. Some woman workout to be healthy and others work out to fit what society has made “beautiful”. Regardless of your size, height, or skin completion, if you are a woman of color.. you are GOLD sis! When you walk, walk with your head HIGH. When you talk, talk with confidence and pride. Never allow anyone to make you feel uncomfortable about who you are as a woman. I must warn you though, whenever you start acting like the Queen you are, many people will NOT like it. You will be perceived as LOUD, ANGRY, CONCIDENT and even “bitchy”. For some reason, society thinks that when black woman carries themselves as Queens, it is an issue. So once we voice our opinions, act on situations and don’t accept any mess from anybody, we now fit the stereotypical “ANGRY BLACK WOMAN” . shaking my head. You are a Queen and nothing less! You come from the motherland of Africa. A country full of riches and gold! Our descendants are Kings and Queens ! Which makes us what? If you are thinking Royalty, you are absolutely CORRECT.
I just want you to know, as a woman myself, that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with being a black woman! There is nothing wrong with voicing your opinions! There is nothing wrong with having self-love and confidence! Love your natural skin! Love your natural hair! Every kink and curl is beautiful and should be embraced. Personally, I LOVE MAKEUP and WEAVE! Makeup is fun and cool but embracing your natural beauty is important. There’s nothing wrong with having those “bare-face/natural poof” days! Slick those edges down, put some hoops in and BOOM!! POPPIN! Regardless of what people say about natural hair, NEVER allow their opinions stop you from embracing what is naturally YOURS! Keep in mind that people have different opinions about the natural hair community but honestly, just ignore it! Natural hair is beautiful including the kinks and curls. Even some men have their opinions on natural hair, some love it, some hate it. REGARDLESS of their opinions, IT DOES NOT MATTER! I always tell people, " I wear my natural hair because I enjoy it, not for your enjoyment." With that being said, love yourself because no one will love you more than YOU love YOU! ( i know that was a mouthful but I hope you got it! lol )
Being a black woman is beautiful and never allow anyone to tell you anything LESS!!
